Editing Blog: Working with Titles

Hey world, it's Aniyah! My group and I have gotten a head start on editing. The first thing we are working on are the titles. In one of my previous planning blogs, I stated that we wanted the font of the titles to be similar to the font you would see in a newspaper. Recently in class, my group members and I wanted the title of the movie to really pop out. We kept throwing in ideas, but none of them were good enough to really grasp the audience's attention and to keep them engaged. Suddenly, one of our beloved media teachers gave us a good idea. She suggested that we should put the title of the newspaper that contains the same letter as our movie title. Then, the other letters would fade out and the letters of the movie title would come together and pop out. We were immediately inspired and began to work.

My group member, Stephanie, found a way to get a newspaper background and edit titles in it. She also found a technique to make the letter pop out and let the letters come together. Stephanie is the one who takes the lead in the editing process because she is a lot more tech savvy than Lily and I. In the newspaper she mads it seem like what happened to the girl was in the newspaper to help the audience foreshadow what the movie is about. Lily is going to play the main character in the story. Because of this we thought it would be smart to put a little girl in the newspaper paper background, so it would look like a younger version of Lily. While editing the titles, I helped give Stephanie ideas of what to put in certain spaces of the newspaper. Lily was absent, so she was not able to take part in this  part of the process. But she will be bale to participate in the filming that we are going to complete this weekend. Thanks for reading and blog you later!
