- Common CAMS- common camera angles, shots, and movements are the long shot, high angles, medium shot, close up, and over the shoulder.
- Common sound- common sounds are dialogue, non-diegetic, diegetic sound, incidental music, and ambient sound.
- Commen Mis-en-scene- Usually characters are dressed in regular clothing. Some lighting techniques used are key lighting, fill lights, and back lights. Within the conflict in drama films there are always the bad guy and the good guy. The makeup depends on he film, but it tends to be natural to the actor's face. There are many hand and set props to set the dramatic scene. The setting depends on the film. It can vary from earth to outer space or from a small town to a big city.
- Common editing techniques- There are many reaction shots in drama films. They also use long-winded shots.
- Example films- Five Feet Apart, Just Mercy, and Hidden Figures.
- Elements I like: The types of shots, especially the reaction shots.
- Elements that do not appeal to me: The mis-en-scene
